Year of Faith 2013 Pilgrimages
Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI proclaimed a Year of Faith from Oct. 11, 2012 through Nov. 24, 2013 saying saying,
"It will be a moment of grace and commitment to a more complete conversion to God, to strengthen our faith in Him and proclaim Him with joy to the people of our time."
Encouraging pilgrimage, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith stated: “In the Year of Faith pilgrimages of the faithful to the See of Peter are to be encouraged, to profess faith in God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, in unity with him who today is called to confirm his brothers and sisters in the faith (cfr. Lk 22:32).”
